Step 2 - Using FDISK- Option 3. Delete DOS Partition or Logical DOS Drive
2. Delete Extended DOS Partition

Note! You cannot delete any Extended DOS Partitions on the drive until all the logical drives on that partition are deleted. Use 'Option 3 - Delete Logical DOS Drive(s) in the Extended DOS Partition' to delete logical drives by drive letter prior to using this option to remove the extended aprtition.

In this example there is a Primary and an Extended partition. FDISK will prompt you to confirm the deletion of the Extended partition before continuing.

Confirming that you want to delete the Extended DOS Partition will allow FDISK to delete it and show a summary of the operation.

Press 'Escape' to continue.
